Key Features
- APPLICATIONS: Specially designed to cut Kevlar, Dyneema, Spectra, Vectran, Dacron, Nomex, Technora, Zylon, Innegra, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, and other high-tensile strength materials for precise, clean and numerous cuts
- HIGH PERFORMANCE SHEARS – Designed specifically for cutting high-tensile strength (high modulus, high performance) fabrics easily with less applied force. They cut wide range of materials in single and multiple layers, knitted and non-knitted, stitched, and unidirectional/bi-axial/triaxial/quadraxial knits. It comes in two sizes 10 inch and 11 inch
- PERFORMANCE TEST – Tested for thousands of cuts on Kevlar and Fiberglass. They are also tested against branded competition which fell short on number of cuts and quality of cut towards end of blade life. Blade grinding is an art; these are grounded just right for highest quality of cuts for a long time
- SIZE: The shears have overall length 11 inches / 280 mm, blade length 5.7 inch / 145 mm and still comparatively light weight at 0.71 lbs / 322.1 grams
- BLADE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY – The blades are made of high carbon alloy steel from Japan, infused with Molybdenum and Vanadium for strength and hardened through a proprietary manufacturing process to HRC 60-62, HCV1200. One blade is micro-serrated blade for maximum hold on the material to ensure a clean, precise and non-slip cut. The non-serrated blade can be sharpened to extend life
- HEAVY DUTY, LARGE BOW SHEARS – These shears have long tang and are reinforced for efficient force transfer from hand to cutting surface. The ergonomically designed large grip-rings made from TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) deliver more power with reduced fatigue and wrist strain during repetitive use. It accommodates large hands and is suitable for comfortable repetitive cuts
- MARKET SEGMENTS – Composites, recreational and commercial marine, electrical, aviation, avionics, Automotive wind energy (fiberglass turbine blades), safety & security, sports, entertainment and military. Ideal for applications in sail-making and boat rigging
